Job Description

What will you do?

IDtech is a customer facing organization that brings high value, differentiated Security technologies to the market. These technologies include a portfolio of High-End Access Control and Time Management solutions. IDtech supports large and strategic accounts in Belgium and in several locations around the world.

As a Key Account Manager, you will diagnose the Access Control needs of strategic customers in Belgium, converting them to business opportunities and delivering value-based solutions. The role of the Key Account Manager is to establish relationships and manage a group of Key Accounts at all levels in the customer’s organization. Using commercial skills of discovery, diagnosis, design, and delivery. The Key Account Manager is responsible for identifying the customer’s needs and corresponding business opportunities. You will work collaboratively with world-class technical and commercial experts and other resources, creating agile perfectly matched teams to maximize the value for both parties.

Specific role functions include:


  • Delivery of maximum value from selected strategic customers headquartered, centered on Access Control and Time Management.
  • Management of the overall customer relationship and fostering senior level stakeholder connections, building relationships with multiple customer prospects and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Creating enhanced customer intimacy through a well-planned and delivered engagement program.
  • Developing and implementing integrated customer account plans, in alignment with business strategies. This will include understanding longer term customer strategy and converting these strategies into business goals.
  • Forming natural teams to address specific business opportunities, pulling together the necessary technical and commercial support from the organization.
  • Accountability for delivery of margin targets.


Skills

Are these your skills?

  • You have a master’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a commercial role and complex sales, preferably related to Security, Access Control or Time Management.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with experience interfacing with junior to the most senior levels within customers' organizations.
  • Proven record of successful customer engagement supporting long-term sales and margin growth. Technical knowledge relating to Access control and Time management.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans including coordination of commercial and technical service resources and driving a complex opportunity funnel.
  • You are skilled at negotiating and closing contracts, ensuring legal.
  • You are a team player, interested in positive outcomes and not who gets the credit.
  • You will exhibit positive energy, perseverance, passion to succeed and will have plenty of examples of delivering outstanding customer value and service.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch (must-have native or equivalent level), French and English is mandatory
